Picked by Ordis is a curated shop and independent buyer's guide for AI and smart-home gear, built for the U.S. market. We're operated by Ordis Automata LLC, an automation company based in Brandon, Florida.

We started this store because the way gadgets are sold online is broken in a specific way: most "review" sites are paid placements wearing an editorial costume, and most marketplaces will list anything with a margin. Nobody checks whether the seller actually has a U.S. warehouse, whether the device is FCC compliant, or whether the 30-day return policy exists anywhere except the product page.

So we check. That's the whole idea.

The seal is earned, links are not

When a product carries our "Vetted by Ordis" seal, it means we confirmed three specific things: it ships from a U.S. warehouse, it meets FCC compliance where applicable, and the seller has a written return policy of at least 30 days. Nothing gets the seal by paying for it, and an affiliate link is never the same thing as the seal. If we earn a commission on a link, we say so, visibly.

What we publish

Our guides rank products by what actually decides whether they're worth owning — real-world coverage, setup friction, support you can reach — not by who sponsors us. When we don't know something, we say that too.
